Sewer Rodding

What is Sewer Rodding?

Sewer rodding is a method we use to clean pipes, drains and sewer lines. This is a specialized method that should only be performed by a professional plumber. In fact, it may be the only method to guarantee your pipe or drain will be completely unblocked. We can do sewer rodding in our service areas of Deerfield, Northbrook and Highland Park, IL, as well as surrounding areas.

Our Sewer Rodding Process

Rodding involves using a piece of equipment known as a drain or sewer rod. These flexible rods are then guided into the pipe or drain, which sometimes can only be accessed through a man-hole. The rods are then used to unblock the obstruction impeding the water flow. Sewer rodding can be used for both a clogged drain, as well as a mainline sewer pipe.

Do You Need Sewer Rodding?

Most people don’t realize trees can actually be a plumbing hazard. This is because their roots can grow into the main sewer line that connects their house to the sewer line in the street. This is a situation in which sewer rodding would be useful.
